hello, my name is milo, and i'm the person behind GEMINI WORKSHOPS. i am a musician, illustrator, graphic designer, synthesis engineer and a networking major. i explore the GEMINI WORKSHOPS realm through multi-media storytelling. the characters in my project(s) are fictional characters, each with their own personality and changing music style, but all of their music is created by me (and sometimes in collaboration with friends of mine). i have been drawing for 9 years, producting music for 7 years, and started college in fall of 2023.

to the left is a picture of my fursona. he's an anthropomorphic cat who's 96% cat and 4% shrimp (hence why his tail is a shrimp tail with fried tempura). he represents me, however he's not a character in the GEMINI WORKSHOPS canon. in regards to my projects, i sometimes use my character/alias saturator to represent me.
currently i am in a committed relationship with my partner dew since june of 2021. they've been very helpful and supportive of my projects, and you may see them in credits sections of my songs or in a "written for"/"to" section in the album description. they have two main fursonas, one an otter and one a cat. sometimes they're drawn alongside my fursona.

along with my music, i do often post my own illustrations (and have drawn most of my own covers). you can find these on social medias that i've linked (if they're active), or on my patreon. i take commissions for non-commercial illustrations via email inquiry at the moment. currently, my music commissions, logo commissions, or commercial illustration commissions are closed until further notice. i no longer take custom mixtape (fursona-themed or personal event) commissions. if you are curious about any other kind of commission/work, such as sound design or anything physical, email me!

currently, the aliases used for GEMINI WORKSHOPS include transgender lain clones, eniac, ECDYSIS, guArdiAn, saturator, gummyworm, Tomorrow, and snarepicker. there are fusion aliases that will be revealed at a later date. transgender lain clones is both a canonized character in the GEMINI WORKSHOPS catalogue, as well as a personal music alias.

Q. can i know more about you?

A. sure. i'm 18 years old, from texas, and i like sushi and burgers. i also like (love) synthesizers, cassette tapes, records, reel to reels, minidiscs, and every obscure media format you can think of. i am indifferent to CDs (they're still cool!).

Q. what software/hardware do you use?

A. i use FL Studio 21, Renoise 3.2.4 and a ton of plugins for music software-wise. my hardware studio includes: Audio Technica AT2020 (USB), Komplete Audio 6 MK1, KRK Rokit 5 G3 (pair), Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, Behringer Model D, Korg Volca Beats + Keys + Sample 2, Tascam Porta 05, and the Koma Field Kit. for illustration and graphic design i use Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Photoshop + Illustrator. i built my own computer, i'll link the specs sometime later. i have over 35tb of collective cloud/physical storage. my listening equipment includes a Audio Technica LP120 USB with an Ortofon 2m Blue Cartridge, Phillips CDC 875, and an old consumer tape deck.

Q. who are your inspirations?

A. there's too many for me to list. i listen to thousands of musicians and albums, and try to find new ones every week. for music, the most influential to me are machine girl + prolaps, sweet trip, cuushe, kidkanevil, iglooghost, five star hotel, dreamcrusher, john coltrane, ♥ GOJII ♥, /f, aphex twin, merzbow, boris, asian glow, underscores and miles davis. for illustration, my inspirations include squeedgemonster and yoko kuno.

Q. are you transgender?

A. somehow i get this question still, or i get people assuming the wrong answer to it. yes, i am transgender; clinically speaking i am FtM. my pronouns are he/him/his and ne/nim/nis. i prefer no other pronouns be used. i label myself as transsexual, male, man, and bear for my gender. my sexuality is labeled as gay, queer, and bear. i prefer the labels "transmasc(uline)" and "trans male/man" (in conjuction) NOT be used when referring to me. nothing is wrong with the labels, but i don't identify with them personally. i started HRT on october 6th, 2019 at the age of 14.

Q. can i draw your characters or your fursona?

A. feel free to draw any of my GEMINI WORKSHOPS characters! any form of artwork is OK. i don't allow NSFW of them unless i commission it, and i don't take this violation lightly. i also prefer if you only draw my fursona if i commission you for a drawing.

Q. can i remix your music/can i use your music in videos?

yes! my music (besides my own remixes) are licensed under the CC BY attribution license. just make sure to credit me as the original creator if it's a direct remix or not being majorly altered in a video.

Q. can we be friends/can i email/DM you casually?

A. sorry, but no, i'm autistic and physically disabled (fibromyalgia). i also have diagnosed AvPD and depression, so i tend to not like "casual" conversations with someone new. i'm comfortable sharing this because i've explored it in my music, but i ask that you don't press onto me about certain things i discuss in my songs.
